Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has launched a solar system scheme for the poor and deserving people suffering from expensive electricity and load shedding in the province.

Two tiers have been created under this scheme, 

1. Provision of solar systems with zero markup for those consuming up to 100 units of electricity in the first tier 
2.  Provision of solar systems with 50% partnership and mutually agreed markup for electricity consumers up to 200 units 

- Eligibility Criteria:

• Eligible households registered in Ehsaas Program/Benazir Income Support Program
• Economically disadvantaged/low-income households
• Preference given to widows / divorced / orphans / married couples / minorities / special individuals / temporarily displaced families

 If more applications are received than the allotted number, selection will be made by drawing lots.
