To address the issue of power crisis and prolonged load shedding in the country, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has launched a solarization scheme. The solarization scheme is a flagship project to provide relief to the deserving population of the province, the Chief Minister said. We are taking steps to provide relief and facilities to the people as per the vision of the founding chairman, It is the duty of a welfare state to provide basic amenities of life to its deserving people free of cost, says the Chief Minister

Under this scheme, 65,000 deserving families are being provided with solar systems absolutely free of cost,  While providing solar systems to 65,000 households at half the price, A transparent electronic balloting procedure has been devised to provide solar systems to deserving households, Under the scheme, solar systems will be provided on priority basis to widows, transgenders and other vulnerable groups, All districts of the province have been given a share in the scheme based on their population, the Chief Minister said. The selection of deserving families for the provision of solar units has been kept away from political and humanitarian interference.

I am grateful to the elected representatives for their cooperation in this regard, the Chief Minister said. Our goal is to ensure transparency and merit and deliver justice to the rightful owner, This scheme will not only ensure uninterrupted supply of electricity to the people but will also help in reducing the electricity load on the national grid.
